Is This The Market Top?

Crypto Twitter seems to think Bitcoin at $109k was the top... Here's why

GM degens and welcome back to another edition of The 13th Hour: your one-stop shop for the latest in memecoins, trench news, and—

Oh?

Oh! What is that?

It’s so bright! That jacket… it’s so shiny

is that.. is that—

The Timekeeper??!?

The Timekeeper: “Sup, ladies.”

Oh, Timekeeper what a dapper young man you are! We love the new look! Right readers?

(13th Hour readers nod vigorously)

The Timekeeper: “It ain’t nothing… just some new swag I got on. Don’t mention it.”

Timekeeper, you are single handedly keeping this newsletter in business.

Well that and our amazing news brought to you every week. Speaking of… we’ve got a lot to cover today. Let’s leave the Timekeeper to flex in the mirror and get into the latest from the trenches!

Today’s Topics:
🐻 Bitcoin’s all-time-highs dampened by bearish sentiment?

🏘️ $COLLAT moons on Solana integration rumors

💊 PumpFun announces $1M prize for content contest

🐻 Bitcoin: New ATH but the Timeline is Preparing for the End-Times

Bitcoin has officially hit a new all-time high! Congrats to all who celebrate, especially our very own Bitcoin-swag-clad Timekeeper! How are those bags looking, Timekeeper?

The Timekeeper: “Ah, pretty cozy… This wallet is burning a hole in my pocket though.”

Alright, Timekeeper, enough about you. I KNOW half of CT owns no Bitcoin at all. And if you took a look at the timeline you’d think they’re all actively short one of the biggest assets in the world. As Bitcoin crossed $109k early this afternoon, the bears piled on — assuring us this pump is not only not the beginning, it’s actually the end…

Do they know something we don’t? Is this just PTSD from the choppy market conditions we’ve had the last few months?

One thing’s for sure, the whipsaw price action liquidated more than just a few traders right at the top.

Just after Bitcoin put in the long-awaited all-time-high, it printed a brutal red candle that erased the majority of the day’s gains.

The cause? The bond markets going into freefall… Now this isn’t a financial markets newsletter and as a disembodied voice I cannot purport to be an expert in bond markets so here’s a tweet explaining what happened instead:

And another one from Robert Kiyosaki, writer of “Rich Dad, Poor Dad” and predictor of 18 of the last 2 global recessions:

Doesn’t sound good? Strap in!

🏘️ $COLLAT: The Official Solana RWA Platform?

If you’ve been in the trenches the last few days, you’ve probably noticed an old token called $COLLAT ripping to $90M in just a few days. So what’s the deal?

After a whirlwind few months of memes, memes, and more memes, $COLLAT is a utility project aiming to be the home of real-world asset (RWA) tokenization of Solana.

According to the website, “Collaterize” as the official project is called, will allow users to buy shares in tokenized real world assets through a swanky and sleek mobile app.

Ok, so it’s a hyped product on Solana. Why the $90M valuation?

Well rumors are swirling that $COLLAT may be involved with Solana in an official capacity. Now it’s important to note NONE OF THIS IS CONFIRMED!

Apparently Toly, the co-founder of Solana, has been retweeting Collaterize’s posts with cryptic emojis and soft-shilling the project. Again, this is all SPECULATION!

So there you go, that’s the big news here.

What do you think? Is this the next big Solana platform or just hungry trenchers grasping at straws?

💊 PumpFun Launches “Content Ideathon” With a $1M Prize for Streamers

Everyone’s favorite PumpFun (which was not-so-everyone’s-favorite just last week) announced a content competition for streamers going live on the platform.

That’s right, PumpFun has a "live” feature. It’s garnered controversy for its entirely uncensored nature and was even removed late last year…

…before being brought back in April with strict new moderation.

And it now looks like the PumpFun team has big ideas for the future of the platform as a home for streamers. Yesterday, the team announced a “Content Ideathon” with a prize pool of $1,000,000 for creators to submit & get their ideas funded.

The team is keeping it lean — the submission is just a regular ole Google Form with questions about the background of the content creator and how the funding grant they’re applying for will be used.

PumpFun’s founder is excited about the initiative, even going as far as to say that “the next Speed will be born in the trenches.”

Think you’ve got what it takes to be the next Speed? Apply here!

You, as a newly-minted PumpFun superstar

And that’s all for today folks!

Thanks for tuning in to the 13th Hour! Remember, if you’ve got friends that need to know the latest about your memecoin obsession (because they’re worried about you) just send them the link to this newsletter. We will make you look normal!
