Alright Timekeeper, let’s keep the people focused on reading this newsletter and not fantasizing about what’s underneath all that Bitcoin swag you’ve got on 😳.

So without further ado, here are today’s topics:

🏠 Housecoin breaks $100M as the newest Solana runner

What if someone told you that 1 housecoin = 1 house? Think that’s a CNBC-worthy headline? Apparently the trenches do.

Housecoin launched on March 24th to almost no fanfare. Even after picking up some steam, it was still little more than a routine memecoin launch.

And then Ansem got involved.

On the Tweet, Housecoin mooned to almost $50 million in just a few candles, and it’s been up-only since.

The narrative is that housecoin is normie-friendly. Kind of like fartcoin — you know the whole “hot air rises” narrative? But also how funny is it when Jim Cramer says “fartcoin” on national television?

It’s basically the same thing with Housecoin. And we all know times are good when the price is up-and-to-the-right. Look, even the official Pump Fun account is in on it!

🐕 Letsbonk.fun: The greatest memecoin second act ever

Alright there’s a little bit of backstory here so bear with me.

So there’s this coin called “Bonk” and it was one of the earliest BIG Solana memecoins — yes we’re talking even before WIF. In fact, this was so long ago, Bonk is a Dogecoin derivative. Oh yeah! Here’s what it looks like:

And there’s this guy on crypto Twitter. (All the best stories start like this). And this guy on crypto Twitter comes up with this thesis that Bonk is going to be a big Solana memecoin and puts $16k into it all the way back in October 2023.

In less than 6 months, that $16k became worth $13.7 MILLION.

Stud? I think so. But still not as cool as the Timekeeper.

Timekeeper: “Nah, Bonk guy can have this one. I know him personally, he’s chill.”

Oh the ever-so-humble man that you are, Timekeeper.

Anyway, so fast-forward to a few days ago. The Bonk team, with full support from the Bonk guy, launches Letsbonk.fun — a memecoin launchpad from the Bonk ecosystem.

Immediately, the coins start mooning. First we had “LetsBONK” — a $30M runner that’s now down to about $3.5M.

But so far the real star of the show has been a Letsbonk.fun coin called “Hosico."

After a flurry of high-notoriety tweets, Hosico is now looking like it’s coming for Housecoin’s throne. And NO “Hosico” and “Housecoin” are not the same thing, no matter how similar they sound!

The Timekeeper, from the other room: “You gotta keep up with the nomenclature bro, the trenches aren’t for chuds.”

😎 $PASTERNAK is back for round two

Remember how right before the trenches died out two months ago there was a brief moment where web2 founders were jumping in and launching coins (remember jelly-jelly?)

Well one of these was the PASTERNAK coin attached to the Clout.me platform — basically a new web3 app where users can “bid” to book time with influential people.

A few days ago, the official Twitter of the Clout.me app announced a new feature where you can launch memecoins by simply replying to a tweet and tagging the "@launchacoin” profile.

This post was then amplified by web2 app legend Nikita Bier.

If you don’t know who that is, he has topped the App Store Charts several times and recently sold his app Gas to Discord after it gained over 10 million downloads.

So yeah he’s a pretty big deal. And he kept throwing his weight behind Ben Pasternak and his app.

And it’s even been getting some love from OG trenchers like POW who called it in his TG group. Maybe it’s time for utility memecoin season again? Barbell strategy of fartcoin on one end and highly-innovative utility coins on the other end, anyone?
